‘New To Primary Care’ training
The SY&B Primary Care Workforce & Training Hub currently offers the following funded 2-year programmes of support and education for the ‘New To Primary Care’ workforce:
- Primary Care Nurse Vocational Training Scheme (Nurse VTS)
- Primary Care Physician Associate Preceptorship Programme
- GP Fellowship Scheme
These structured training programmes help to support and embed staff who are new to working in primary care. They include a combination of early career learning, peer support and coaching which is tailored specifically to working in General Practice.
These programmes are fully funded and offered at no cost to General Practice organisations. Please click on the relevant training programme link above to find out further information and learn how to express an interest.
The SY&B Primary Care Workforce & Training Hub is currently working on developing further ‘New To Primary Care’ training programmes for other roles in General Practice, including Allied Health Professionals. Further information will be posted on this page as/when they become available.
